After picking up the guitar when he was 6 years old, Alex shifted his focus to music production in 2020, after suffering a severe wrist injury.

Maysev combines classical music training (including choir work), guitar influences, indie music, pop music and much more into the genre of Drum & Bass. Blending all these influences placed Alex in the more experimental and innovative corner of the genre. He is commonly associated with peers and collaborative partners like The Caracal Project, Tom Finster, Phace, Abis and many more. Maysev fuses melancholic and emotional songwriting with modern electronic production, while pushing Overton window of possibility in electronic music. This results in a wide range of style: from club music to orchestral arrangement, from heavy bass music to quiet guitar recordings – by not limiting himself to one style or trend, Maysev remains unique.
