Sorza is one of the emerging figures in the Dutch experimental bass scene. Following the release of his critically acclaimed album Pillars on VISION Recordings, he gained recognition across the global bass music community, establishing himself as a versatile and forward-thinking producer.

// Biography

Derived from the Basque word sorkuntza, meaning “creation,” the name Sorza reflects the project’s focus on sonic exploration and immersive world-building. Inspired by the Los Angeles beat scene and artists such as Flying Lotus, Nosaj Thing, and Tsuruda, Sorza blends experimental bass, electronica, and cinematic textures into a sound entirely his own. Known for merging genres and cultural influences, his productions range from remixing Irish doom folk to combining Bulgarian folklore with experimental half-time rhythms and left-field bass. Rather than being confined to a single genre or tempo, Sorza’s music is defined by a textural sound world and emotionally driven sound design. Supported by Noisia, RL Grime, and The Glitch Mob, Sorza continues to push the boundaries of experimental electronic music through both his productions and audio-visual live performances.
