Forbidden Society has evolved from being both a DJ and producer to creating a platform for his brand that extends far beyond his Czech Republic roots. Known for never bowing to commercial pressure, he has garnered a formidable reputation and a dedicated fan base. Through his self-titled imprint and clothing line, he has showcased his sonic diversity.
A prime example is his debut self-released LP, Fog Walk, which diverged from his typical hardcore style, adding twelve new tracks to his already impressive catalogue. The Dead Box EP followed swiftly, also released on his self-titled imprint Forbidden Society, marking another significant milestone in 2019. While rooted in drum & bass, these projects also explored electro, techno, and punk influences, as seen in his Subworld EP on Noisia’s VISION Recordings and his collaboration with Audio on Iris.
In more recent years, Forbidden Society contributed to Killbox's album on RAM Records with the track Transistor and returned to VISION with the solo EP Subworld and participation in their Mission Compilation. His reworks for Noisia on Exodus and Moving For You (featuring I Am Legion) further solidified his relationship with the trio, enhancing his prominence in the scene.
Forbidden Society has consistently demonstrated his versatility and creativity. Alongside his self-released Liminal Point and No Return LPs, he has continued to set a high standard while exploring genres like garage, techno, and halftime. He has released the Dystopia EP and Refused EP, collaborated with Agressor Bunx on Closer to the Edge, and dropped the single Not Real. His remix of Choosing For You on VISION Recordings' The Resonance IV remix package and his track Replica on the MISSION 02 compilation further highlight his dynamic style. These accomplishments culminated in his most recent album, the Lonely Road LP, released on VISION in 2024.
Lonely Road marked a bold departure from his established musical path, embracing exploration and expression to delve into new personal and musical realms. The album offered a profoundly beautiful, dark, and dense sonic experience. During this period, he also hosted a stage at the Beats for Love Festival in Ostrava, curating an explosive lineup while managing a jam-packed album campaign that received support from SiriusXM via Diplo’s show, UKF, Kiss FM, and more.
Throughout his career, Forbidden Society has brought his explosive presence to international stages, including the legendary Let it Roll, where he’s been invited back year after year. His innovative approach continues to secure his longevity, bringing fresh sounds and ideas to his fans globally.
